"KICK-A-THON" Fundraiser benefiting
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta "Aflac Cancer Center"
The Martial Arts Center will host a "Kick-A-Thon" to benefit the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on Saturday, November 13th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The fund-raiser, which is open to the public, will also include a silent auction.
Event FlierThe Aflac Cancer Center treats nearly 350 new cancer patients each year and follows more than 2,500 patients with sickle cell disease, hemophilia and other blood disorders. Patients range from infants to young adults.
The three-hour “Kick-A-Thon” will take place at The Martial Arts Center located in Toco Hill Shopping Center, 2947C North Druid Hills Rd. Participants will kick the entire time with a goal of throwing 3,000 to 5,000 kicks. Each participant solicits donations for every kick thrown.
Michael Hernandez, Shihan, a 6th Degree Black Belt and owner of The Martial Arts Center, is himself a cancer survivor. He knows firsthand the battles these children wage to survive and reclaim their lives.

- Make a pledge of any amount for every kick performed by a student at The Martial Arts Center. The goal for each participant is to perform between 3,000 and 5,000 kicks during the course of the event. You also may make a predetermined donation.
- Attend Kick-A-Thon to cheer for these generous students.
- The Kick-A-Thon will also feature a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the Aflac Cancer Center.
The Martial Arts Center invites the community to observe or participate in the Kick-A-Thon. Media are invited to cover this event where children are helping children in their fight against cancer.
